The ARCWA facility was equipped with almost a half-million dollars worth of state-of-the art orbital welding equipment provided by Liburdi Dimetrics. The center is dedicated to automated orbital welding instruction and training.

Liburdi Welding Systems - First in Mainland China's Nuclear Power Station Construction

Ningde CPR1000 nuclear power station integrated Liburdi’s advanced orbital automated welding equipment in the construction, a first in mainland China. Liburdi assisted CNPEC with integration, training, onsite installation and technical support.

Specifically designed for nuclear applications, the system configuration consisted of a customized version of Liburdi Dimetrics H weld heads, a 2-in-1 weld head design for pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-elbow applications with low axial and radial clearance. Liburdi’s advanced FireView™ touch screen control consoles which allow the weld operator to accurately interface with the weld process remotely. Both the weld heads and remote control consoles were powered by Liburdi’s heavy duty 600 amp Gold Track® VI power sources.

While the Chalk River Nuclear Reactor was unexpectedly shut down for repairs, the world waited for medical isotopes. A global search for expert resources led AECL to Liburdi Automation Inc. Our New Location in Mooresville
Liburdi Dimetrics has recently moved its manufacturing operation 7 miles (11 km) north of Davidson into a larger facility in Mooresville. This new 10 acre (435,600 square foot) location at 2599 Charlotte Hwy is well suited for manufacturing, and is easily accessible from I 77 highway. Liburdi is upgrading the facility and installing new processes for its proprietary coatings, cleaning and rejuvenation of superalloy components.

Liburdi Turbine Services LLC, which refurbishes industrial gas turbine engine components, will remain at the Armour Street location until end of this year, when it is scheduled to join Dimetrics in Mooresville. The Armour Street building, situated in the heart of a newly developed residential area, will be converted into a primary and secondary school to meet the demands of the area’s growing population.
