Green Turbine Coatings - Hexavalent Chrome Alternative - LSR™

LSR™ aluminide coating technology is a flexible, compact and economical alternative to the application of plain or modified aluminides internally and/or externally on Ni, Co, and Fe based alloys. Its microstructure, chemistry and oxidation behavior is similar or superior to conventional high activity aluminide coatings.

The LSR™ process, requires minimal environmental precautions and can serve as a drop-in replacement for obsolete, uneconomical and environmentally challenging processes such as pack, hexavalent chrome bearing coating systems, CVD and electroplating.

If your mandate is to replace hazardous coating technology with a green turbine coating technology, contact Liburdi Engineering to explore the LSR™ alternative.

CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) - Aluminides

Liburdi's unique orgometalic CVD process produces high purity aluminium rich coatings that have no ramp elements in the resulting aluminide.  The process is a closed loop process that does not introduce any foreign materials into the final coating and recondenses any unused materials for reuse.

The ability to coat complex internal geometries with a high level of coating coverage and uniformity are possible with the CVD process.  The process offers an alternative to traditional "above the pack" gas phase processes and eliminates the environmental issues associated with them.
